The upscale and affluent area of La Jolla is located on the curvaceous southern coastline of California. Seven miles long, this seaside community consists of magnificent trails, beaches, canyons, coves, parks, and rolling hills. It’s called “the jewel” of San Diego for a reason: its unmatched natural beauty. You’ll find panoramic, sweeping views of the ocean and colorful, stylish boutiques lining charming streets. The beach town is laid-back yet lavish; the homes are grand and massive, from mansions to large homes with pools and patios. The schools are highly rated, and there’s always something relaxing to do, from getting a breath of fresh air on a walking trail, wriggling your toes in the sand, to spending time with friends or family at chic restaurants and coffee shops.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The views are unbeatable in La Jolla, as is the food that goes along with it. Herringbone is one of the loveliest places to eat in La Jolla. You’ll dine under dazzling lights and 100-year-old olive trees, enjoying an ocean-to-table culinary experience made from the freshest ingredients. Looking for ambience? The Med at the iconic La Valencia Hotel features live music and ocean views. Want expertly prepared steak and seafood in an elegant atmosphere? Eddie V's promises a memorable meal (check out the cocktail lounge featuring live jazz!). If you’re craving traditional Italian eats, head to Piatti for yummy pizza prepared in the restaurant’s stone hearths. For those who enjoy eating somewhere unique, try scrumptious California fare at The Cottage, which is housed in a delightful vintage home.
